HOUSTON – There are dollars to be made on the Internet but only if your business has the right connections, right approach and right market in mind.
Thrive Marketing will host a digital marketing workshop for area businesses on Tuesday, June 9 at the Houston Civic Center in Joe Brigance Park. The seminar starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. and business owners and operators are urged to stop by after work for a direct and lively program.
The workshop will be hosted by Ashley Elkins of Thrive Marketing: The Online Voice of Business. Thrive Marketing is the digital marketing arm of Journal Publishing, the parent company of your Chicksasaw Journal.
Attendees will learn the importance of social media to their business, which social media sites are best for their unique business and they can use YouTube to improve their business.
The training session will also include a primer on technology terms, such as SEO and how a business can improve theirs.
The session will also touch on demographics and how to reach older audiences with digital marketing and how to target specific groups that need what your business has to offer.
And last but certainly not least, do I need a website if I have a FaceBook page.
